FINRA for Financial Services

HIPAA - Healthcare - Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 The HIPAA Privacy Rule establishes national standards to protect individuals’ identities, medical records and other personal health information. It further applies to health plans, health care clearinghouses, and those health care providers that conduct certain health care transactions electronically. The Act requires appropriate safeguards to protect the privacy of personal health information, and sets limits and conditions on the uses and disclosures that may be made of such information without patient authorization.

FDA (21 CFR Part 11)

US Food and Drug Administration CFR Title 21 Subpart C (11.100, 11.200, 11.300)

Subpart C of the US Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 governs the rules affecting access to electronic data handled by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).

CloudFileSync is compliant to Subpart C--Electronic Signatures as it applies to records in electronic form that are created, modified, maintained, archived, retrieved, or transmitted, under any records requirements set forth in agency regulations.

FERPA and COPPA (Federal Student Privacy Rights)

Customers are able to use CloudFileSync in compliance with the vendor obligations imposed by the US Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Educational institutions with students under the age of 13 can also use CloudFileSync consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), provided that they agree to specific contractual provisions requiring the institution to obtain parental consent regarding the use of CloudFileSync.
